I just heard about Victoria's story via Wikipedia. It's a shame such a talented actress had such a fate at so young an age. She certainly stole the show in her scenes in the movie Threads with a riveting performance of magnetic quality and conviction. A big part of the reason that I feel the movie is a classic.

Just finished watching Threads for the second time in about three years. I decided to check on information regarding the cast and was saddened to learn that Victoria passed away in 1990 at such a young age. I too was born in 1969 and learning of her passing leaves me a bit unsettled but at the same time confident that she is now in a much better place. Godspeed Victoria.

I fell in love with her after seeing her in the movie Threads. What a shame and tragic way her life ended. Hope she is looking down on us and smiling with gratification.

i grew up with the threat of the atomic bomb. i remember the weapons being driven through my then city in the south of England when i was 12 and 13. i watched'threads' in 1984 with a group of college friends when we were 16. this film and its images have always haunted me, as did the role played by Victoria. i never forgot 'jane' and wanted to find out what happened to Victoria after speaking with my own son today about this film, and how it affected my life and my feelings towards war and world destruction in general. so tonight i looked for victoria.. i am so very saddened to hear she died so young.. such a tragic loss. she would have gone on to greatness. This website is a wonderful memory of her. RIP Victoria. you are in my thoughts.

This is a very nice tribute. Like many, Threads was a very vivid memory, also like many, once on line out of interest I looked up the cast on imdb, com and was saddened to read of Victoria's tragic death. Both Threads and her death in one sense seem so long ago, however that film and Victoria's vivid performance still burn brightly.

I found your website whilst trying find footage about childrens TV shows that I remember watching as a kid. I remember watching Letty as a boy. I was very sad to read that Victoria died so young. I did not realise that Victoria is the same actress in Threads. I watched Threads many times as a teenager in the 80s and never made the connection until today. Well done with this website by the way, it's a lovely tribute. RIP x

I saw Threads (and other emotionally devastating movies) in 2003 when I needed to rattle my spiritually dead self into some kind of humanity again. It seems it took such a bleak future to awaken the potential of the present, and the life I have. Sad that people get so worked up over the looming terror of nukes or even garden variety urban terrorism. Most of that will never touch so many of us. But upon finding out that Victoria died in a vehicle accident, it seems worthy to remind ourselves of how tragically common that kind of death is. Sometimes random. Sometimes preventable. Always horrible in its unpredictability and its ability to rearrange reality for whoever has to it.

I'm heartbroken. I didn't know that this great actress was taken from us so early. Threads was such an amazing film and her final moments really cemented the importance of that film

I feel so bad that I wasn't able to enjoy her talent in other films. Now I know why I didn't have that advantage - I didn't know she was taken from us so early. Thank you Victoria. I'm so heartbroken. You really were a great talent for the brief time that you lived. You are remembered. Thank you.

From a fan in the USA who is broken-hearted that I can't see more of this great actress. Condolences to her family and friends.

Hi folks, I was born in Dewsbury and lived nearby in Morley, at school our English teachers had us all watch 'Threads' which was a harrowing experience. Vikki's performance was enthralling despite the horrifying subject matter, I wonder if she ever knew the effect it had on the viewers? Anyway as local lad Im very proud to discover that this young star came from our area. I'm sure her family were very proud of her. Kind regards - Johnny

A lovely online tribute. Victoria may have died before the World Wide Web came into being, but through the wonders of the internet -and some diligent individuals- she can be dimensionalised into more than a mere name in the end credits of a program that has clearly stayed with us for over quarter of a century. RIP Victoria, best wishes to her family & friends, and appreciation to those behind this website.

Thank you, that was very kind:)
